The only good thing that could come from their “ tax cuts” is that they loose Congress in 2026 and remain out of power for decades.

That trap is for all of us. The only hope is that the GOP is ruined for 50 years along with their enablers. That could make it worth the pain. Putin is a great worry. Enough of the military may be left to save us.

I really don't think the republicans in office care, they have chosen power over the constitution. This administration and many republican led states are doing everything they can to prevent future voting. It is the only way they can stay in power, and all of the moves being made by the administration are part of Project 2025 to turn our country into the Republic of Gilead (Handmaid's tale).

Of course trump lied about tax cuts helping everyone. Just like he lied about being a dictator only on “day one.”

Once again and true to form, the GOP "leaders" in the current Congress have NO QUALMS about passing the plate around to us 99% so that WE can fill the coffers of the greedy, stinking, corrupt 1%.

We WILL NOT forget this truth when it's time to vote in the upcoming primaries.

And they can take that to OUR bank!

How and why anyone takes anything from the right at face value is at least as insane as the lies they are peddling.

The Republicans have got themselves into a pickle. If they don't support Trump on everything he will primary them. But if they do they will be run out by the voters who are going to haping mad over both the non existing tax cuts, and the tariffs that are going to cost them big. No tax cuts plus tariffs, equal a real catch 22!

Famously Majority Leader McConnell told his GOP colleagues to pass tax cuts or they’d never get money from big donors again. The GOP obeys its puppet masters. Will voters rebel once they realize the big beautiful tax cuts only benefit the wealthy and largest companies? Maybe not. Fox News and GOP friendly social media will obfuscate, claim democrats support welfare cheats (Medicaid), trans and terrorists. As we saw in North Carolina, they will lie and cheat to rig elections and limit voter participation. Republicans will count on the Trump base to save them. Truth is, the GOP embrace tax cuts, economic inequality and a diminished safety net, always have, always will. Their donors call the shots.

From a Republican perspective, extending the original tax write off from 2017 (where 80% of that 2 trillion dollars primarily benefited the rich) has to happen. Because if they cancel it, American households will experience another couple thousand in taxes in addition to the tariff taxes. But Republicans have added another 5T onto the budget over and above that extension. I'm assuming this will give Americans another check in the mail. Overall however, just like the first tax write off in 2017, this 5T will still primarily benefit the already rich.

It's important to note that if that passes, the deficit morphs into an additional 30-50 trillion dollars over 30 years. As I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong) this would be over and above our current deficit which morphs into somewhere around 70 trillion total. Compliments of us to our children's children.
