Democrats have done an outstanding job and shocked Republicans by sticking together on the government shutdown. Republicans thought Democrats would split apart enough for them to pass their clean CR, but it hasn’t happened.
One outcome of Democratic unity is that it reveals who is willing to engage and fight the Trump administration, and who is not.

It is also voting, organizing, and staying unified.
The ability to see the picture and join together to support a common cause is what the Democrats have demonstrated during a shutdown.
On Monday’s episode of Chew’s Views, Sarah Jones discussed why Democrats shouldn’t babysit people who are unwilling to join the fight for the sake of having a big tent party.
Sarah said:
Democrats have had a tough because they have a, they’ve had a big, they had a big tent.
Democrats had a big tent. I’m not sure they do anymore, but they had a big tent where it was welcome all these people, but if you look at a lot of those, different factions, they didn’t show up to vote. I think about this a lot going forward.
