The skeptic in me acknowledges the possibility that Trump may evade accountability due to perceived biases within the Supreme Court, with whispers of partisanship involving several justices.

Yet, we're often reminded to turn adversity into opportunity. Now is not the moment to hinge our hopes on constitutional mechanisms like the 14th Amendment for deliverance.

Now is the crucial juncture for opponents of Trump from all political stripes — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike — to rally collectively. Our mission: to marshal the votes come November to secure a resounding rejection of Trump's candidacy. Remember, the safeguarding of our nation's democratic principles has always been, and will continue to be, entrusted to its electorate.

I hold a deep conviction that Trump's defeat in the forthcoming election will be more pronounced than in 2020. By the time November arrives, I anticipate that Trump will be grappling with the repercussions of a potential conviction in the New York state hush-money case.

Considering the current trends in caucuses and primaries, where a significant segment of Republicans have cast their ballots elsewhere, it's clear that Trump's path to victory is untenable with only a fraction of GOP support.

We're now presented with a monumental challenge — one that will undoubtedly measure the resolve of each citizen committed to the ideals of our Republic.

I am prepared to rise to this occasion — the question remains: are you ready to join me?

The Court doesn't care if it's seen to be corrupt. The six fascists are bought and paid for and have no reason to pretend otherwise. Who's going to stop them? I am in despair and on the verge of utter defeat.

There is no legal reason for this case to be heard. The SC, similar to dt, seeks delay, hoping events in lower courts or god-in-a-machine, or Something Unexpected, will, somehow, give them an out, so they do not have to “decide” anything. They can’t decide because they can’t disappoint their funders, they can’t go against dt, they can’t go against angry insurrectionists, they can’t show their hand, they can’t follow precedent, and they can’t change precedent. They are paralyzed by obligations and fear. In agreeing to hear this, and then delaying it, they are generating greater public uncertainty and civic unrest, while waiting, hoping , for their own deliverance, their own immunity.

THE SUPREME COURT decided this issue in 1974 and again in 1982, in the Nixon cases,

UNITED STATES V. NIXON (1974) and NIXON V. FITZGERALD (1982) the Court ruled that a president (sitting or former) has absolute immunity from civil lawsuits for (a) official acts, that are (b) legal,

And NO IMMUNITY from civil lawsuits or criminal prosecution for acts that are (c) unofficial acts, and / or (d) illegal. Under the Nixon cases a sitting president can be prosecuted for any crime. No criminal immunity, zero.

Absolute immunity would make the presidency a crime license, a license for any president to commit any crime with absolute impunity, which would violate the Rule Against Absurdity, aka the Absurdity Doctrine,

If the presidency comes with a crime license, then JOE BIDEN can order Seal Team Six to kill Donald Trump, every Republican member of Congress, and every conservative judge and Justice, tomorrow, then pardon Seal Team Six and, absolute immunity!

I wonder if Trump and his genius legal team have thought this through.

When trump is given an inch, he takes not a mile, but every conceivable delay offered to him that delays justice.

I am with Ted Lieu. All hands on deck to get out the Blue Vote. Start now and we will not lose in November and Trump will face Justice in 2025, if needed! We cannot lose!

While I am confident Trump will go down — all the way down — I am less confident that his acolytes will follow immediately; most of them were elected pre-Trump and will figure out ways to revert once he is gone. That is why we have to be prepared to make ourselves heard via the ballot box to take out as many of them as possible this go round.

The Supremes have been corrupted for a long time. Trump made sure his people were in place before his doomed gambit to steal the election results. I believe there is corruption in all branches of governement. If you have a death threat lingering over yourself and your family and there is a cash payment involved, you do as you are told. Think about what the Trump Base consists of and level of depravity of the people who work in the offices of government. You take the cash everytime if you are one of them. Overworked and underpaid and many with lots of responsibility. VOTE BLUE lets shut them up for good!
