There Is Still So Much To Be Grateful For This Thanksgiving
Although, Trump and his brand of malevolent chaos will be returning to the White House, there is still so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

From the moment I was born through my high school graduation, there had been a Democratic president for four years. I got to cast my first vote for president for Democrat Bill Clinton.
In the last eighteen years, the nation has had a Democratic president for 12 years. Democrats powered by Obama/Biden have been on a pretty good run. There is an entire generation of young voters who grew up with Barack Obama as their president, which might explain why their standards are so high for getting excited about and invested in a presidential candidate.
One of the things that the nation should be grateful for is that Joe Biden interrupted the potential for an entire generation of kids growing up with Trump as their president. President Biden gave those youngsters four years of how a president should act and behave with dignity and respect while doing the job of the presidency mostly extraordinarily well.
We should be grateful that Donald Trump is a diminished old man who will only be around for four years or less. Republicans are likely to lose at least part of Congress in two years, and the clock will begin ticking on Trump as soon as he enters office officially at noon on January 20, 2025.
Sarah and I are grateful for the outstanding community that has grown around the newsletter. Each day, we look forward to hearing what you have to say as much as we write for you. We really are a community here, and we should be thankful for what we all have built.
We look forward to coming here every day and appreciate the way that you have embraced us.
Let’s be thankful for the fact that we don’t have to rely on corporate media. We have the ability to talk to each other via platforms like this one. We don’t have to rely on Trump-supporting billionaire’s social media platform to communicate. We have choices.
As a teenager who grew up with Republican presidents, I could only imagine the possibilities. So, no matter what the future holds, let’s be grateful for the great things that have already been accomplished and the possibility of even more after the Trump bump in the road is history.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. Share your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for this. I’m counting on being thankful that tRump is such a divider. His need for people to fear him will doom his “administration” to the dustbin of history. His methodology is to pit people against each other, whether it’s race against race or Secretary against Secretary. He can’t unite, because he contradicts himself so often, pitting himself against himself. His idea of unity is to bring people together in hating the “other”. He would experience a truly unified nation as a threat. threaten h
Happy Thanksgiving Sarah and Jason. I registered as a democrat in 1975 never missing the chance to vote. Biden is the best president and I plan to send him a Xmas card to tell him. With DJT coming into office I wish I could be in a coma for the next four years especially since he’s talking about starting a war with our neighbor Mexico. My granddaughter signed with the Airforce I worry for her safety.
