They are already behind what has already happened. They should have demanded Congress be notified formally, not in continuous public discussions. As a retired military officer, I am utterly astounded at the way business is being done in DC, and that democrats seem to be fine with it. I’m not opposed to a denuclearized Iran. Did we achieve that or did the continuous discussion in the public square give them time to relocate important nuclear items? And now, what follows?

The UN Charter and customary international law prohibit the use of force against another country except in cases of self-defense or collective self-defense, or if authorized by the UN Security Council.
The right to self-defense includes the right to use force to defend against an imminent armed attack. The United States has taken a broad view of “imminence” in cases of threats of terrorism or mass destruction, but it would be hard to argue that a U.S. attack against Iran’s nuclear complex or leadership would constitute an act of self-defense against an imminent armed attack by Iran on the United States.Surely defending Israel’s position doesn’t come into the equation does it ??

The backdrop is our global march to climate catastrophe (aided and abetted by this regime) and a potential nuclear winter. Even if the resolution is eventually passed, there will be plenty of foot-dragging before it's passed. By then the Iranians will have agreed to some kind of peace proposal.........or the shit will have hit the fan and we won't be in a position to withdraw safely from the mess Trump has gotten us into.
