Senator Lisa Murkowski mentioned on stage how she received similar physical threats. I feel like that should have been news for more than 10 seconds.

The problem is we, the people, are also afraid for our loved ones as we speak out and protest in the streets but we do not have the power that Representatives and Senators have and REFUSE to use!

Elected representatives sre not ellected to be paralyzed with fear once they are elected to represent their constituents. Being elected to represent your community is a noble act. If that task nio onger appeals to them thsy should choose to step down. Immediately.

There sre many capabke candidates who would step up and work tirelessly to create a equitable government which represents their constituents

Indeed having a mentally deranged man attack a family member. is a terrible tragedy. At this time and for many years, San Francisco has been full of severely mentally ill persons, many of them are not getting the treatment they deserve to make it safe for them to live in community. It is a known fact thar many people who are psychotic attach themselves to famous wealthy people. That is one of the symptoms of their psychosis and is well documented.

Donald Trunp cannot claim to have any role in making or prolonging those persons very severe mental. illness. Their nonchalant negligent locak community, who prefers to adopt harm reduction ax their onky treatment option bears the full responsibility for that phenomenon

True - but quite honestly I am sick to death of them whining about their fear. They’re supposed to be LEADERS, not cowards. If she won’t do her job she should step aside for someone who will. Her little book tour fear confessions were no help - I’m not going to pat her on the head and give her a cookie.

I agree - as I have been saying this for at least a year - specifically consider how republicans have been so pro gun and make it as easy as possible for their constituents to get access to as many guns as possible. Well now, if they vote against trump, their own constituents will use their massive gun arsenal against them - hence they fear for themselves and family. The are stuck.

Huh. 🤔

I’d be going to the law! No way I’m going to threatened and harassed and fear for my life and my family’s lives by a pos who should be behind bars! This could be the thing - whatever the thing is - that gets his ass locked up!

Trump is hell bent on complete control of the House and Senate, and yes in perfect world we need to have balance in the House and Senate. But Trump is afraid and uses fear to control the Republican Party. Hopefully, this firestorm of about Trump blocking the release of the evidence about rich men raping underage girls, will be the beginning of Trump's slip on the power of MAGA electorate. What is it that makes him afraid to release the evidence?

Sometimes it only takes one person to stand up to a bully and say NO. We expect the people we send to congress to have the strength to do the same, stand up to the bully and say NO. They swore an oath to do so; if they don’t mean it, they shouldn’t accept the position. Fortunately, 1,000s of citizens have taken to the street to exercise their freedom to protest and we are winning this fight against trump and his minions; but we’re waiting to see someone in the former Republican Party do the same.

They are simply admitting that they have no decency. The pupil of Roy Cohn now has proven that empathy and decency are no match for directed anger, tribalism and the wolves in people’s nature. While we make the world less fit for all life, we prove ourselves incapable of change.

When you choose to become an elected public servant, you will be exposed to scrutiny, criticism, and yes, danger. That’s built into the job. At the same time, djt is, at his core, a street thug and a mob boss with a lot of influence over his underworld operators. So I understand the fear. His threats hold them hostage.

I don’t have the magic formula to tip the balance from fear to courage. But something’s got to give so that our congress critters can do their jobs.

The Supreme Court enabling him?

It’s the other way around, SCOTUS, Heritage and The Federalist Society are leading the horse to water. Trump has no ideology or agenda, he’s just a demonic and crooked cheap snake oil salesman.

Additionally, Trump wouldn’t be president without SCOTUS’s complicity in slow rolling two criminal cases, and they are allowing him to destroy all of our institutions because they were specifically chosen by the Federalist Society for the job.

Think about it, they are letting this president fire and destroy the Department of Education, CDC, NIH, USAID and other agencies before they even rule on the Constitutionality of these actions.

This is a Justice System in reverse that says you can break everything and then we’ll decide if it’s legal. And when they finally rule in the plaintiffs favor because these actions are unconstitutional, we will be left with NO REMEDY. And as far as prosecuting Trump for illegal actions? He has immunity and he will pardon all those who committed these crimes on his behalf. Apparently it’s legal now since he got away with it by pardoning all of the J6th violent insurrectionists.

Furthermore, it will be years before SCOTUS will make a final ruling, and by then, most of the employees will have moved on, would have retired or the agency might be shutdown for good or downsized beyond repair.

This is the religious right’s agenda and members of the neoconservative movement, not Trump’s. They’ll give him power, money and whatever else it takes to please him (loyalty and admiration), while they turn this country into a White Nationalist authoritarian theocracy.

Trump’s just the marionette playing to the audience and sucking all of the oxygen out of the room with his daily spectacles, while they remake the country into their image, with little MSM interference. IMHO…:)

VIP. (Very Important Post). Hits numerous critical points describing what's happening as we speak. The judiciary is top-heavy with Republicans, bottom to top, including the so-called "supreme" court, 6 of whom were appointed by the Bushes & by Trump & are all in for 'Project 25". We're witnessing a judicial coup d'etat in real time, right before our eyes. Trump stands to appoint at least 2 more, maybe 3, members of the court during this term, then our fate is sealed. We're well on our way down the river of no return.

She is absolutely correct. This is a regime, not a government, and is run by Nazi thugs, with the chief thug squatting in the People's House. Trump is the carnival barker front man, there to rile up the yahoos while his enablers steal everything in sight and turn us into a corporate fascist/theocratic white man's state. The Supreme Court is hell bent on doing as much damage as possible, damage that will take generations to repair, if ever.

I agree with Pelosi. They are either afraid and threatened, and in some cases they are on board with having a dictator believing it gives them more power. It doesn’t. Putin is a dictator and he has his enemies killed on any day that ends in y. Basically GOP is dead. Spineless cowards or co conspirators in the coup the Felon is attempting. There needs to be accountability and appropriate sanctions and prison for the cowards and the traitors.
