Mike Johnson Dangerously Falsely Accuses Protesters Of Trying To Incite Violence Against Trump
At a press conference Speaker Mike Johnson told a series of dangerous lies about the No Kings protest, including that the protesters are trying to incite violence against Donald Trump.
On 1/6/2021, Donald Trump told a crowd of thousands, “Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. After this, we’re going to walk down and I’ll be there with you. We’re going to walk down. We’re going to walk down any one you want, but I think right here. We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
One of the articles in Trump’s second impeachment accused him of inciting violence.
At least seven million people across the country gathered to peacefully protest against the second Trump presidency. In major cities like New York, police stated that the protests were peaceful and no arrests were made.
