Wait, House members routinely get a month paid vacation in summer? We need a national, unassailable by the SC, law, that states every US citizen must receive every single benefit that a member of Congress enjoys. That is, several weeks of paid vacation, a lifelong, livable, pension, and universal healthcare for life. As for Republicans skipping out so no debate or vote on Epstein documents can occur for now, I didn't realize they ALL support rape, abuse of children, and sex trafficking of children. Who knew?

This is why I see red when they talk about cutting benefits. They don’t have a right to entertain cutting benefits until they cut their own!

They’re cowardly enablers. Especially the so called Christians like the current Speaker and that filthy hypocrite Mark Harris.

I’ll bet the Congressmen won’t be holding any town hall meetings!

If Dems were smart, they would go to the districts of Republicans not holding town halls and would hold Epstein File Strategy Session town halls to make sure the voters know what they can do to find out the truth. There have been many civil suits already that have created depositions, testimony and evidence. Are those available, and if not, can we force their release even if they must be redacted? Could other civil actions be brought that would give a public person subpoena power? Are there any known victims who might be willing to testify? Has there not been a single case brought against a single individual who participated in this trafficking? Where is the state of New York on this matter? At both the federal and state level, control of this case must be taken away from those in government who are obviously abusing their power just as they abused those young women. That responsibility rests in the hands of the people, regardless of political affiliation.

It is so painfully obvious that many of the Republican congressmen are mentioned in the files and are on the client list. Why else would they be protecting these sexual predators.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING? NO!

Johnson, Thune & GOP are NOT interested in an investigation of Epstein clients since it will likely catch their leader, who’s cut 69 global programs tackling human trafficking, inc. tracking Russian abductions of Ukrainian children.

That the Republican politicians are gutless, shameless cowards is as much a surprise as. sunrise in the morning. These assholes just gave themselves a 5 week vacation on our dime. This is pure unadulterated bull. How much are the citizens of this country going to take?

There will be consequences for their cowardice and it will affect their lives and that of their families in more ways than one. Mike Johnson is a poor example of leadership and will reap the rewards of his actions with huge regret. How do I know? Been there, done that!

The Republicans are a bunch of total fucking cowards. These spineless pussys are afraid to stand up to Dirtbag Donnie, who is most likely a serial pedophile. Mike Johnson is Trump’s little bitch. This religious hypocrite, this Christofascist is more concerned with Trump’s feelings than getting to the bottom of this disgusting episode. Johnson just sent the House of Representatives home until September 2 in the hope that people will forget this horrible scandal. We will not forget. EVER!!!! Mike Johnson is protecting a pedophile. He is no Christian despite what he says he is.

For some reason I think most of these cowards will enjoy some time away from both DC and their constituents. There is really no way for them to square the circle they've painted themselves in. I hope those of us in the Substack space continue to remind voters how pitiful Republicans are right now.

The Republicans in the Trump era are all cowards- with the exceptional few. Let’s hope the nation wakes up to their

cowardice and judges them accordingly

These guys don’t do squat and still get paid! Now they are taking a longer paid break! The do nothing congress. They have capitulated their duties to the executive ie their orange pedo gawd. Dems should do town-halls in red districts for the next 6 weeks and just talk about Epstein. EPSTEIN, EPSTEIN, EPSTEIN.
