Rep. Eric Swalwell now has more to worry about than his political career as the Manhattan DA has confirmed that the congressman is under investigation for sexual assault.
The only person to have told the FBI that trump molested her when she was 11-13 years old disappeared after talking with them four times. She said that if they were not going to charge him, she was not going public. The FBI were unable to locate her again.
I’m disappointed, but I’m not going to rush judgement on Swalwell until further investigation takes place and charges are filed. IF he’s found guilty, then by all means prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law. Absolutely no one gets a pass on this type of crime - except of course the one man who appears in the Epstein Files as many as a million times.
Trust me (speaking from experience) guys like Swalwell are *always* the ones who do it. He's playing out the script: 1.) Deny deny deny. 2.) Well, maybe I have made some bad choices. 3.) I'm terribly sorry I'm putting my wife through this. 4.) I'm so sorry to have put my constituents through this. 5.) Good-bye.
💯% agree. I think I've missed something. I have only listened to Mike Nellis talk about it but he only referenced reporters and friends having information. Did these women report this to law enforcement? I know women don't because so often we are not believed so no criticism of them. I'm just wondering. He and so many others are being quick to convict so I'm glad there will be an investigation. We have to support the process!
There has to be fair investigations on both sides. Yes, with the timing of this, it's definitely some dirty tactics happening. I want everyone who has ever forced assault to be accountable and removed from power and influence. President on down.
I am saddened to hear about Eric Swalwell. I would not have guessed that he was a sexual abuser, but one never knows! He will probably get prison time, unlike our sexual-abuser-in-chief, who should have been put away for life. Life, indeed, is not fair.
Could be true. Could be an attempted political smear campaign. See where the evidence leads. But I'm afraid his political career is over guilty or not.
So the question is whether this is another political assassination à la Orbán of a Democratic governor/governor hopeful (like my Governor, Walz, being forced to withdraw as a candidate over fraud investigations which his administration was already handling but the federal regime blew up)? Or is it a genuine case of sexual misconduct? In any case, it needs to be investigated. As a woman and abuse survivor, I want to support other survivors. As someone who fears the regime is just trying to turn another blue state to red, I wonder at the timing.
We’ll see where this goes- I’m hoping this is just an attempt to political smear. He’s a strong & relevant Democrat- 100% target for the Pedo/predator in chief & his corrupt administration
I am a Democrat, but that does not matter. Politics should have nothing to do with this. He needs to be investigated, and if reasonable evidence present, he needs to be arrested and tried.
How is he immediately under investigation (which is great) but Trump is in the Epstein files 10s of thousands of times, and nada.

There are nude photos.

We're at #4 now.

I am in a wait and see mode. Remember what they did to
Al Franken?
And Andrew Cuomo—very similar.
The difference with Cuomo is the Democrats still backed him. This is the way it should be - investigate the allegations
👍
Smells like a smear but given he isn’t a Republican Party member, no doubt they will find a way to convict. GOP members get away with A LOT.
And here comes the political smear tactics. Never heard any of this before he said he was going to run.
If a criminal assault investigation is warranted, it should proceed. We cannot tolerate, as a society, criminal sexual assault or rape ever.
I hope the investigation is honest and thorough. Not based on political parties, but truth.

NO ONE—is above the law.
So very disappointed in him...it is unacceptable behavior, if true, especially if the victim were unable to give consent.
