Eric Swalwell Is Now Under Criminal Investigation For Sexual Assault
Rep. Eric Swalwell now has more to worry about than his political career as the Manhattan DA has confirmed that the congressman is under investigation for sexual assault.
The video response that Eric Swalwell posted to allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual assault by multiple women sounded familiar. Swalwell called the allegations false and vowed to fight them, but what he also said is that he has not been perfect, which was a hint that there is some fire behind all of the smoke.

It seems there is enough evidence that criminal charges could be coming against the congressman.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said Saturday it is investigating an allegation of sexual assault against Rep. Eric Swalwell, a day after CNN reported that a former staffer for the California Democrat accused him of having sex with her when she was unable to consent.
“We urge survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division at 212-335-9373,” the DA’s office said in a statement to CNN. “Our specially trained prosecutors, investigators and counselors are well-equipped to help you in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered manner.”
Swalwell appears to be initially trying to follow the playbook of Donald Trump, which means deny everything and vow to fight. It also seems that Swalwell might be trying to follow Trump’s strategy in another way.
The congressman had to have known that this story was coming. Journalists go to great lengths and spend months or sometimes years corroborating the allegations of victims before they are published. Journalists would have also reached out to Swalwell during the investigation for his side of the story.
Given this context, Swalwell might have been hoping to hold off the story until after the California gubernatorial primary, where, if he secured a spot on the general election ballot, he could have argued from a stronger position that the allegations were politically motivated as a general election candidate.
Like Trump after the Access Hollywood tape, Swalwell might have been hoping that Democrats would be stuck with him on the ballot.
Now that he is facing a criminal sexual assault investigation, all of those potential plans have evaporated, and instead of potentially being the next governor of California, Eric Swalwell might be fighting to stay out of prison.

How is he immediately under investigation (which is great) but Trump is in the Epstein files 10s of thousands of times, and nada.
I’m disappointed, but I’m not going to rush judgement on Swalwell until further investigation takes place and charges are filed. IF he’s found guilty, then by all means prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law. Absolutely no one gets a pass on this type of crime - except of course the one man who appears in the Epstein Files as many as a million times.
