Katie Zacharia lasted almost half of a Scaramucci. Anthony Scaramucci served as communications director for eleven days in the first Trump administration. Katie Zacharia couldn’t make it that far.

It was clear from the moment that Zacharia stepped up to the podium for her first briefing that she wasn’t the right person for the job. Zacharia painfully read verbatim from a script touting Trump, and then took three questions, one of which was a softball about her family that she managed to screw up by confusing Trump and her husband.
Professional incompetence never stopped any loyalist from finding a home in the Trump administration, so what really did in Zacharia wasn’t the fact that she has been passing herself off as a lawyer when she never passed the bar.
When Trump asked Zacharia in front of reporters what state she passed the bar in and she answered China, it was not looking good.
When Zacharia went on Trump BFF Sean Hannity’s show and was torn apart by Trump’s pal, it was only a matter of when not if she was going to be fired.
It turned out that when was today, but not for the reason you might think.
