New polling shows that working class voters who voted for Trump in 2024 aren't buying what he is selling on tariffs, and they are ready to abandon the GOP if jobs don't come back fast.

The Working Class Knows Trump’s Tariffs Will Hurt Them

In 2024, exit polls show Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris by two points with voters making less than $50,000 a year, and by four points with voters making less than $100,000 a year (51%-47%).

Trump, with his delusional beliefs about tariffs, keeps selling them as bringing jobs back to the United States.

However, new polling as reported by Semafor, shows that working-class people aren’t buying it:

The Working Class Project, an American Bridge spinoff led by former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, surveyed 1,000 “working class voters” (most with a household income under $75,000) who broke for Trump in 2024.
