With One Answer, Karoline Leavitt Made Trump's Epstein Problem Much Worse
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked if Trump ever spent time at Epstein's house with a victim, and her answer created more problems for Trump.
Karoline Leavitt didn’t get the job as Trump’s White House Press Secretary because of her outstanding skills in messaging and communications. Leavitt apparently got her current position because of a willingness to shamelessly stand in front of reporters and say what Trump wants to hear.
The Epstein scandal has returned to the front and center of the news. After Democrats released Epstein emails that discussed Trump, what he knew, and his activities with Epstein, it was a certainty that the scandal was going to be brought up at the White House briefing.
An innocent president with nothing to hide could have instructed Leavitt to step up to the microphone and honestly answer questions from reporters.
Leavitt could have told reporters that Trump was disgusted and outraged by the emails, and that the president would be ordering the release of all of the Epstein files to clear his name and put this scandal to bed.
Given that corruption and cover-up are the elements that fuel the Trump administration, Karoline Leavitt was never going to stand in front of the country and deliver the truth.
Instead, she chose to go down a path that will make things worse for everyone at the White House.
Leavitt was asked, “ I have your statement about the new Epstein emails that have been released by House Democrats. Separate from why you believe the emails were made public. Can you address their substance? Did the President ever spend hours at Jeffrey Epstein’s house with a victim?”
What a good and straightforward question.
