Will House Republicans Protect the US over Russia?
Will House Republicans put US troops' lives ahead of Russia after Zelenskyy alleged that Russia shared US Air Base images with Iran to help target US forces in the Middle East.
America First looks a lot like Russia First.
Will House Republicans put US lives ahead of Russia after Zelenskyy alleged that Russia shared US Air Base images with Iran to help target US forces in the Middle East?
After President Zelenskyy alleged that Russia took multiple images of base in Iran, a move the Ukrainian President says they’ve found indicates a plan to strike, we have to ask if House Republicans will move to protect US forces from Russia.
Will they put the US first?
Zelenskyy Alleges Russia Shared Intelligence with Iran to Target U.S. Forces
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told NBC News on Saturday that Russian satellites took images of the U.S. Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia three times shortly before it was attacked by Iran, alleging Russia provides 100% intelligence support to Iran.

He said he believes this pattern indicates an attack simulation, saying he “was ‘100%’ confident Russia was sharing such intelligence with Iran to help target U.S. forces across the Middle East.”
“I think that it’s in Russia’s interest to help Iranians. And I don’t believe — I know — that they share information,” he said. “Do they help Iranians? Of course. How many percent? One-hundred percent.”
Zelenskyy shared a report from his daily presidential briefing via Ukrainian intelligence services that Russian satellites had taken images of Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia on 20, 23 and 25 March.
“We know that if they make images once, they are preparing. If they make images a second time, it’s like a simulation. The third time it means that in one or two days, they will attack,” he said.
The base has been a frequent target of Iranian missile and drone strikes during Trump and Netanyahu’s war of choice on Iran, with Trump’s justification of imminent threat to the US already proven untrue.
Iran did not pose an imminent threat to the United States when Trump initiated his war.
An Iranian ballistic missile and drone attack wounded 12 U.S. service members on March 26. Reports from the Wall Street Journal indicate that two of the injured are in serious condition.
While NBC News noted that the briefing “did not include evidence of the Russian satellite imagery or specify how Ukraine became aware of it” and they were unable to verity its accuracy, they also noted that they had previously reported that Russia was sharing intelligence on the location of US troops with Iran.
That reporting carefully articulated that while four sources indicated Russia was sharing intelligence with Iran on the location of our troops, there was “no indication Moscow is helping direct Iranian strikes.”
The Institute for the Study of War has also concluded that Russia is continuing to help Iran attack across the Middle East, including US assets.
If Russia is actually helping Iran with strikes against US forces as Donald Trump and his Republican entourage in Congress have been getting the seal of approval from Russian President Vladimir Putin, that would be really awkward for a party espousing an “America First” agenda.
Aiding Enemies
Treason is levying war against the U.S. or adhering to/providing aid and comfort to its enemies, which is a high bar to prove. But it’s becoming more and more obvious that MAGA Republican lawmakers will do whatever Trump tells them to do, including appeasing and even helping an enemy accused of putting our own troops in danger by aiding a country we are at war with.
It’s not as if Donald Trump and the Republicans don’t already know what Zelenskyy shared from our own intelligence agencies, even though Trump has previously criticized and denounced them, including accusing US intelligence services of a “misinformation” campaign for pointing out the fact that Russia was trying to interfere in our elections yet again in 2020 by helping his campaign.
Zelenskyy likely made it public because it helps him in his efforts to support Ukraine to point out that Russia is aiding Iran.
