When Voters See Donald Trump, It Helps Kamala Harris
Trump has been in hiding throughout the 2024 presidential campaign, because the more voters see the ex-president, the less they like him.

When Voters See Donald Trump, They Don’t Like Him
For nearly a decade, anyone who writes or talks about Donald Trump, who isn’t a Republican, hears the same angry refrain. Don’t give him attention. Why do you platform him? Ignore him.
Donald Trump is a wide variety of negative descriptions to anyone who does not support him, but those who have been calling for Trump to be ignored have been doing so since 2015, and the ex-president is still here.
Ignoring Trump only helps him.
As Sarah Longwell, the Executive Director of Republican Voters Against Trump, said on MSNBC:
Any time you hide Trump from the American people, cutting off his mic in a debate, taking him off Twitter, not carrying his insane rallies live, all of this has served to hide him from the American people.
I think as a result they haven't been able to track his decomposition as clearly as they would have, I was thrilled. I know there is a debate about whether or not he should have done this. I was so glad it happened. People need to see who he is. One of the things that happens for Donald Trump that has been consistent over the years is that when voters see more of Donald Trump, his approval rating goes down. When they see less of Donald Trump, his approval rating goes up.
We want voters to have exposure to him. Most importantly, we want them to have exposure to him outside of interviews that are softball interviews in the context of Fox News.
