The common thread in all the mass shootings is mentally ill angry white men with guns and opportunity. Where is the movement among the men of Murica to openly deal with male derangements of ego such as Trump, Putin, Steven Miller as well as mass murderers, rapists, domestic violence abusers. Their ideology is secondary to their illness. They were all developmentally challenged boys who needed help early and often.

I would not call the current US president the most powerful man in the world. He has shown himself to be a bully of neighbouring countries, to vacillate, hesitate, do repeated 180 degree turns, and kow tow to despots. These are not attributes of power or strength of character.

On the contrary, Donald J Trump is an exceptionally weak man (and a sociopath to boot) who occupies one of the most powerful offices in the world.

I'm getting more bothered that these shooters are seldom arrested. Or haven't written a manifesto that tells where they stood. I understand the heat of the moment, but law enforcement seems to have tools where the suspect can be subdued and arrested. But it's always the suspect suicided or was fatally shot. In turn, we are left with speculation from social media or talking to people who might have known the shooter. And then the story is spun.

It's disgusting and sad that someone puts their damn politics above their family. They're not patriots or martyrs, they're just psychopathic criminals. I'm tired of the mental illness excuse. They're willingly killing people in service to bullshit.

We don't know if politics were the reason for this murder, but we do know that this man from the Trump sign on his house, to his t-shirt with an anti-left message, used a gun and his flag waving truck to kill innocent people. Without the gun this would have still been a tragedy, but nothing like what it was with the use gun. Just watch, Trump will try to make this into a man with left wing tendency!

Confused by Frump calling this an attack against Christians when every indication is the shooter too was a Christian that hated Mormons, also Christians.

You mentioned that he was a Marine Corps veteran. I read that he served in the 2nd Iraqi War. There was also another mass shooting. At a waterfront bar restaurant in North Carolina. The shooter was on a boat. When he opened fire. He was also a Marine veteran. Who served in the 2nd war in Iraq. I was totally against sending combat troops to Iraq in 2003. In fact Saddam Hussein had no mass destructive weapons. It was a total waste of money and American lives

I've voted since 1972 (I turned 21 when they lowered the age to 18) R and D. It doesn't excuse any type of this violence.

Maybe this isn't significant, but the shooter did not start voting until 2016 at the age of 31. He was most likely motivated by trump rhetoric.
