The Trump Tape Heard Around The World

If you have watched one moment of cable news since Monday night, you have probably heard some or all of the leaked audio of Donald Trump confessing to knowingly having classified documents in his possession and apparently showing them to other people in the room.

It is a riveting bombshell that sounds exponentially worse than the indictment described it as being.

Legal experts from all corners have talked about the legal ramifications of the tape. They have debated what it means for Trump’s trial. Who could have leaked the tape? What defenses could be used by Trump when the tape is used at trial? Every single moment of the audio it seems has been scrutinized down to Trump talking about Hillary Clinton and Anthony Weiner.

While many have focused on the legal aspects of this tape, some have focused on what it says about Trump’s character, which, newsflash it says the same thing about Trump’s character that leaking secrets to the Russians, and about 4 billion other things that he did as president does.

The thing is Republican primary voters won’t care.

As the old saying goes that I just invented, “In for a penny, in for a whole glass of grape political electoral death cult Flavor-Aid.”

Nothing is going to move those GOP primary voters away from Trump.

However, there is a point that is being overlooked in all of this that we will discuss below.
