Voters are increasingly rejecting Republican-lite corporate Democrats in favor of outsider candidates who are offering real change.
There is a reaction unfolding among American voters and within the Democratic Party that its leadership has not acknowledged yet.
In 2026, establishment Democrats are increasingly being rejected by members of their own party. Moderates are still winning Democratic primaries in many places. For example, in Virginia, moderates have failed, but even those who win are disavowing the sort of corporate special-interest policies that have dominated the Democratic Party elite for decades.

Trump’s decision to adopt an extreme right-wing agenda is causing a reaction in the country. As the administration moves more to the right, voters are shifting more to the left, with the intended result being a return to political equilibrium.
When Trump and his party began to redistribute wealth upward in the most aggressive manner in US history by enriching billionaires while taking away food, healthcare, and affordability, the status quo, not only of Trump and the Republican Party, but also of the incremental go-along-to-get-along special interest establishment Democrats, became unworkable for many voters.
