The Ohio governor’s race has been taken to the swamp by Republican nominee Vivek Ramaswamy siding with the wife of an indicted rapist of his opponent, Democratic nominee and former state health department director Dr. Amy Acton.

But going this low doesn’t seem to be working out so well for the Republican.
A top election forecaster is describing the race as favorable to Democrats after previously calling the race a tossup, and explained the ad is already backfiring.
Larry Sabato, the editor-in-chief and director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, reported that Sabato’s Crystal Ball is shifting four gubernatorial races to the left, including a significant change in Ohio, where the race moved from a toss-up to “lean Democrat.”
“I think we thought Amy Acton was ahead before this,” Sabato said on CNN. “This is a disaster. This ad is a disaster, and it's hard to believe that there are Republicans out there defending it, you know. You had Republican former governor of Kansas Bill Graves on just a few minutes ago, and he was powerful in his explanation of why not only this isn't going to work, but it is already backfiring.”
Sabato had the race as “lean Democrat” before the despicable ad, in which Ramaswamy sides with an indicted rapist of a child in an effort to attack his opponent, while bizarrely claiming that she won’t discuss the issues facing voters.
“Amid the controversy over Ohio GOP gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign ad featuring his opponent Amy Acton’s estranged mother, a top election forecaster is now describing the race as favorable to Democrats after previously predicting it to be a “tossup.” For months, the battle to lead Ohio has been one of the more contentious contests on the national radar,” CNN reported Thursday morning.
Acton Calls Ramaswamy’s Ad ‘Exploitive’
Acton called Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s $4 million ad against her, in which he aligned himself with the woman defending the man indicted for raping her when she was a child, “hideous” and “exploitive.”
To be clear, when someone aligns themselves with the person calling an alleged child rape victim a liar, they are aligning with the indicted rapist. This is literally the system that protects predators, as we see with the Epstein files. It starts with calling child victims of rape liars.
