After millions of Americans joined the peaceful Hands Off action on April 5th, organizers held a virtual event to discuss upcoming events, including 50501’s April 19th mobilization “The People Dissent.”
50501 peaceful protests began as decentralized mobilization against Donald Trump’s attacks on democracy and freedom.
The movement started on February 5th as 50 protests in 50 states on 1 day, hence 50501.
But it grew organically into No Kings Day, until on April 5th millions showed up — not just around the country, but globally. The April 19th action plans can be found here.

Other Actions
The Mayday Movement is separate from the 50501 and Hands Off actions.
Mayday Movement has planned action for every single day until Trump is “impeached, convicted, and REMOVED FROM F*CKING OFFICE!”
They are holding a 24/7 peaceful sit-in at the National Mall, using Congressional lobbying, public outreach and education, and an art response toward their goal.
They say even if people can’t make it to DC, they need help making art, donations, credit card points, and spreading awareness via word of mouth.

*They note, “The schedule is subject to change for June and July. We are a 501(c)(4) and this will be a permitted event.”
The most powerful force against encroaching autocracy has not been our institutions, our lawmakers, the Supreme Court or the opposition party. The most powerful force against unlawful attacks on civil liberties, democracy and freedom has been The People.
When no one else would step up, The People took back their own power.
This is hopefully just the beginning of Americans waking up, because a democracy isn’t something we get to keep without work. It takes fight. It’s an ongoing power struggle between those who seek to steal all of the resources and those who want a democratic republic. This struggle never ends because greed and power go hand-in-hand.
The power of sustained movements like these is so vast that it can lead to powerful reform like ending Citizens United, which would be a huge step forward toward a government of, by and for The People.

I feel so proud that non-Democratic white people are finally realizing the constitutional crisis and existential danger the second FDJT term poses to the whole country (and the world as well).
I am hoping that Rs get not only routed next year by losing the House but lose their Senate majority too. That would be a BIG check on Trump's lawless, unconstitutional EOs.
We are a juggernaut, building in strength and numbers until we overwhelm the Trump death cult.
