It is not a coincidence that members of Trump’s staff are beginning to leave the administration at the same time as the president’s approval ratings hit new lows, and with each primary and special election, voters are expressing rage and their likelihood of voting for Democrats is increasing.

Trump keeps acting like he doesn’t care about prices, inflation, and the concerns of the American people, and that has created a massive problem for Republicans who have nothing to campaign on except blaming Joe Biden for Trump’s economic failure.
When White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt quit the administration and claimed that she was leaving to spend more time with her family, eyes rolled, because the real reason that Leavitt left was that Democrats are going to win the midterm election and the Trump presidency will be over in terms of power and influence.
Policy people are beginning to walk away from Trump. Staff is walking away from Trump. The president will still have plenty of loyalists around him, but he governs with a very small circle, and as people leave the administration, he will have less ability to use his power.
Republicans are still trying to talk a good game publicly, but privately, they are singing a different tune.
