The Republican Party is falling apart. Republican candidates are fleeing from Trump, and don’t want to be associated with him. The president is banning reporting and streaming his own state-TV YouTube channel.
Fox News is standing with the rest of the White House television pool and blacking out the president’s White House coverage.
Trump adviser Peter Navarro threw gasoline on the fire by calling for the White House to stop sending administration officials on Fox News.
Navarro said on Steve Bannon’s podcast, “ And, what I say in the Fox article, is that why are we feeding them talent anymore? Why, why do we let anybody in this administration go on their network? I think that question at least needs to be asked.
Bannon interrupted and asked, “ Are, are you saying- ... they're not doing us any solids here Hang on. I, hang, hang on. I know you gotta bounce. We're putting this article out everywhere. You're on the live feed right now as an example of what is, what is possible and what's actual. But I wanna go back to the article. Are you calling for, like, Marco Rubio and Scott Bessent and the, the Secretary of War, are you saying that the Trump administration should not, should not make members of this administration available, and this is after the firing of Maria Bartiromo, over, by the way, trying to cover the president's address to the nation?”
Bartiromo was fired because she shared internal Fox News communications about not covering Trump’s 2020 election lies with the president, not because she covered Trump’s address.
If you thought that Navarro was done taking aim at Fox News, you were wrong.
