Donald Trump’s efforts to consolidate power in his own hands and make the Executive Branch superior and above the Legislative and Judicial Branches of government.

Trump has failed, and Sarah Jones explained why on Chew’s Views:

What we see is this politically weakened person on every front, and so that is... I hope people can take heart in that, because you’re going to see, as he is increasingly weakened, you’re going to see people trying to tell you that this is inevitable, that he will always be in power, that you can’t win the midterms ‘cause he’s gonna put troops in the streets. He’s gonna do this, he’s gonna steal the... They’re gonna say all of that stuff.

Video:

People with good intentions are going to say it because they’re scared, and rightfully they have every reason to be afraid. But also people with bad intentions are going to say those things. And so I want everyone to look at the people who are quitting around him and know why they’re doing that.

Because everyone sees that the emperor has no clothes. He is the Oz behind the curtain. He’s this little man. The power that he had was this base that could not be moved, and this power to impact people, I would say, whose nervous systems are already primed for fear and primed also for hate.

Trump’s base finally started to move against him for many reasons, but one stands out above all others.
