Republicans have been begging for Donald Trump to start spending some of the $400 million that his super PAC has taken in, but roughly two months to go before Election Day, Trump’s PAC has made zero substantial expenditures to help his party.

Trump wrecked the Senate race in Texas by knocking out the party’s preferred incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in favor of his scandal-plagued loyalist Ken Paxton. Senate Republicans have been demanding that Trump pay the $100-$200 million that they estimate it will take to get Paxton elected.
Until Friday, Trump dodged making any specific statements about spending money. All Trump has done is tell members of his party that he will be heavily involved in the midterms.
What Trump means by heavily involved is anyone’s guess. Heavily involved could mean Trump travels the country, sinking Republican candidates like a bizarro political Johnny Appleseed.
Trump said, “I'm gonna be making contributions to various campaigns of people that I think are good Republicans that I think are good. People that I think are gonna win and can win or are close to winning.”
