Trump Sent Elon Musk To Track Fraud At Social Security And Found Nothing
Elon Musk claimed that 40% of phone calls to Social Security were fraud, so he set up a system to track calls. Musk found no fraud, but he did delay Social Security processing.

The data about what Elon Musk and DOGE really found when they went on a quest to eliminate fraud in the federal government is slowly leaking out.
Musk has been especially eager to attack Social Security, as he has constantly made baseless claims that Donald Trump has amplified about fraud in the program.
There is only one problem.
When Musk went looking for fraud, he didn’t find any.
After installing anti-fraud checks for benefit claims made over the phone early last month, the Social Security Administration is considering walking back the policy after finding only two cases that had a high probability of being fraudulent.
The anti-fraud tool set up last month after weeks of changes to the agency’s telephone policies has slowed retirement claim processing by 25% and led to a "degradation of public service,” according to an internal May document obtained by Nextgov/FCW that examined potentially cutting the anti-fraud tool for phone claims.
Under the new policy, the agency found that only two benefit claims out of over 110,000 had a high probability of being fraudulent — and they aren’t guaranteed to be so. Less than 1% of claims were flagged as even potentially fraudulent at all.
“No significant fraud has been detected from the flagged cases,” the internal document said.
The slowdown of service seems to have been Trump and Musk's real goal. The fraud was a pretense for breaking Social Security to such a degree that the people who need the service are no longer able to access it.
If claims can’t be processed, checks can’t go out, and that seems to be the whole point of what Trump and Musk have been up to.
The next Donald Trump starts rattling on about the “fraud” at Social Security, journalists should ask him for evidence to back up his claim, because Musk’s own data shows that the fraud is virtually non-existent.
The real fraud is being carried out by billionaires who are lying about a beloved program to steal benefits that Americans have already paid for.
What do you think about the data and Social Security fraud? Let’s discuss it in the comments below.
It is a grand projection by the people who truly are committing fraud, the trump administration. Never mind the theft by taking.
Leave to a felon and a rich brat to try to mess up a program that works for the American people.
