Something Is Different About Donald Trump In 2024
As an occupational hazard, I have watched and listened to thousands of Donald Trump’s appearances, which is why, lately, something caught my ear. At first, I was trying to put my finger on it. There is something different about Donald Trump.
Sure he is still dressing like it is business attire circa 1987. The red hats are still around. He has even recycled the same dumb nickname for his opponent in 2016.
Donald Trump really wants the American people to believe that it is business as usual and everything is the same, but things clearly aren’t the same.
Trump made a couple of campaign stops on Wednesday in Wisconsin and Michigan. His stop in Wisconsin was embarrassing, but it was also standard Trump from the 2020 campaign. Trump spent minutes lying about 1/6, blaming Nancy Pelosi for the attack and falsely claiming that the 1/6 Committee destroyed evidence that, in his view, would have exonerated him.
Trump still trying to do 1/6 damage control is not a winning look for Republicans, even in Wisconsin, there was an undertone of something.
The ex-president then went to Michigan, and here is where it became more obvious.
