Trump-Sanctioned Excessive Force Debunks His Claim of Fighting Crime

Donald Trump claims he's going after crime by sending in federal troops to cities that didn't vote for him, but the excessive force sanctioned by the state proves otherwise.

The stories about ICE’s use of excessive force keep pouring in. The mother shoved to the ground who required hospital treatment. The 79-year-old American citizen and business owner shoved the ground who suffered broken ribs and head trauma while trying to show Trump’s brownshirts the paperwork for his workers.

Not only do those two examples belie other Trumpian claims, including that they are going after the violent criminals and not hurting citizens and laughable claims of being the “family values” party, but they also show that no one is safe from Trump’s lawless streets.

“As a US Atty, I prosecuted and oversaw police excessive force cases. We took them seriously because they were serious abuses of power. What we’re seeing now is the outbreak of an epidemic & instead of being condemned by fed’l law enforcement leaders, it seems to be tolerated if not encouraged,” Obama US Attorney and 25 year federal prosecutor Joyce Alene wrote on X, above a tweet by Krystal Ball about the business owner: “79 year old American business owner slammed to the ground by ICE. Suffered broken ribs and head trauma as he tried to show them his workers’ paperwork.”
