Trump Pathetically Takes Credit for 'Making Travel Great Again' By Stealing Joe Biden's Work
Sec. Duffy bragged about improvements to train travel, crediting Trump with work from legislation that passed in 2021 under President Joe Biden.

“This is all part of POTUS’ vision to Make Travel Great again,” Secretary Duffy bragged on X, of improvements to train travel made by former President Joe Biden.
Now, if you’re a thinking person, this would immediately cause you to pause, cock your head and get to searching because Donald Trump has worked very hard on one thing: Taking healthcare and food away from vulnerable Americans in order to shovel money into his and his donors’ pockets. He has not worked hard to pass legislation to benefit Americans.
But someone did, and it’s the guy Trump claimed was too old to do the job of president. The job Trump himself either refuses to do or is incapable of doing.
Yep, President Joe Biden, Mr. Train, is the one who actually did the work to improve Amtrak travel through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA — why do Democrats use clunky names with initials like this that don’t tell a story or take any credit?) The IIJA infused Amtrak with a significant, historic increase in funding, including $22 billion directly for Amtrak and a total of $66 billion for passenger and freight rail programs over five years.
This was intended to modernize the national passenger rail system, expand service, and create jobs.
This funding enables Amtrak to repair and replace aging infrastructure, acquire new trains, improve stations, and implement major projects like the modernization of the Northeast Corridor.
The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration wrote of Biden’s achievement that it “represents a generational investment in America’s intermodal transportation system of which freight and intercity passenger rail are an integral part and an engine of our economy.”
This investment is:
Making our nation’s rail network safer, more reliable and resilient
Improving the lives of Americans, creating good-paying jobs, and laying the foundation for America to compete in the 21st Century
“as detailed on the Amtrak website, the improvements that Secretary Duffy says are all part of Trump's "vision to Make Travel Great again" are in fact from the Biden-signed bipartisan infrastructure act, and which were underway long before Trump took office again in January,” CNN’s Edward-Isaac Dovere wrote above this screengrab on X:
The funding from legislation passed under Joe Biden Making Travel Great Again will be dispersed until 2026.
Here’s Biden and then Sec. Pete Buttigieg talking about Amtrak and passenger rail improvements Nov 6, 2023:
The most Republicans can say about this legislation introduced by Representative Peter DeFazio (D-OR) in the House of Representatives on June 4, 2021 is that it was bipartisan. But it was a Biden wish list, and anyone who’s been paying attention to politics for a few years should know that because for most of his 36 years as a U.S. Senator, Joe Biden took the train every day that the Senate was in session, not just weekly to Wilmington, Delaware, earning him the nickname "Amtrak Joe.”
In fact, the IIJA was based on President Biden's proposed American Jobs Plan, in which he was hoping to use an investment in America to fuel jobs — and this idea did work, but again, he didn’t get credit for it from the “mainstream media” or the public who were benefiting.
Remember, the New York Times economics reporter said on Twitter essentially that it wasn’t his job to inform the public of what Biden was doing and if the public didn’t know about it then Biden wasn’t doing his job. Certainly, Biden is no Trump and does not take blustery, desperate for approval credit for everything in his sight like a toddler.
Apparently, many in our media think Trump is a better leader because he takes credit for things that he hasn’t done. He’s bombastic and over-confident, and this is appealing to a certain kind of person.
The media bolstering up a fascist is sadly not new, and if you think about the alliances of maintaining the status quo and power elites, it makes sense. There’s also the sense that the media respects a bully “strongman” while they heap scorn at the time on “weak” men who respect others like former President Jimmy Carter.
In order to get support from Republicans, the IIJA was significantly scaled back and modified, so for Donald Trump to come in and try to take credit for this is truly pathetic.
Donald Trump does not try to work with the other side, in fact he is having some of them arrested for not agreeing with him or for trying to do their oversight job. Needless to say, it’s very difficult to “negotiate” legislation when you are arresting the other side whose votes you need, and this is why he’s ordering red states to find him more U.S. House seats via mid-decade gerrymandering. The man does not negotiate; he terrorizes.
Therefore, Donald Trump will never sign legacy legislation like the IIJA.
The Trump administration is out in these streets taking credit for “Sleepy Joe’s” work. And why? Because the felon could never.

Lying again. He has made this country less safe in every action that corrupt administration has taken since the day trumps second reign of terror has started.
TRUMP IS EVIL!!! Say that. Write that. Every Day. Everywhere. All The Time.
