Trump keeps claiming on a daily basis that he can boost Republican candidates in the polls by touting their physical appearance.
The president repeated this claim at his Tuesday night rally in Texas:
I never knew he even played football. So I’m studying him, and I made the mistake of saying that I started off by studying his ass. I just want to say And then I looked at his feet and they were massive. Then I looked at his hands. See these hands? He said, “Nice hands. They’re fine.”
He had fingers like sausages. I looked at his hands. I said, “Look at it, guys.” And then I patted him on the shoulder. I said, “Great job, Jon.” He said a few words. I said, “Great job,” and I hurt my hand. It was like I was hitting steel. But I made the mistake of studying his anatomy and explaining it to the audience, and the audience loved it. By the way, he went up 12 points that day. He went from being down to being up.
Trump has been trying to justify his tiny crowds with delusions that he is single-handedly saving the Senate for Republicans, when polling in states like Michigan shows Democratic leads growing. It isn’t working, and everyone seems to know this, but Donald Trump.
