Trump Is Smashing His Own Records For Failure
Never has a president fallen so far so fast and descended into failure as quickly as Donald Trump.

One of the most common questions that comes up in the current state of America after voters slipped on the banana peel and the country went off the cliff by putting Donald Trump back in the White House, is how did everyone not see this coming?
Since we can’t ask EVERYONE who voted in 2024, we have to rely on polling to tell us at least what some of the people who voted for Donald Trump were thinking, and from the beginning, there has been a disconnect between what these voters thought they were voting for, and what Donald Trump was going to give them.
Voters wanted: Lower Inflation and Prices
Trump: Deporting Immigrants is the Most Important Issue
Voters: A Return To Pre-COVID Times
Trump: I Have A Mandate To Break Everything
And on it could go.
Voters didn’t think they were voting for what Trump was selling, and in fairness, Trump never told them the extent of what he was planning on doing, so what happened next was predictable.
Trump has made everything worse, and voters are rejecting him like a bad organ transplant.
Three months into his term, there are signs that his popular standing is eroding. His approval rating has fallen by 14 points since he entered office, more steeply than the five-point drop he had suffered by this time in his first term. In polling from YouGov/The Economist, Americans give Mr Trump a net rating of minus-seven percentage points on his handling of the economy, compared with positive ratings at this point in his first term.
Nearly one in five of Mr Trump’s own voters in 2024 say they disapprove of his handling of inflation and prices, while 12% disapprove of his handling of jobs and the economy. Likewise, in early April data from the University of Michigan’s survey of consumers showed Republicans less optimistic about the economy than at any point during Mr Trump’s first term, aside from December 2020, after he had lost re-election.
Trump is a high-speed failure. Never in the history of polling has any president fallen as far as fast as Trump.
All of this failure has created a situation where Trump’s political capital has already evaporated. Most presidents get a year of political capital. Trump used his on a trade war that was so bad, it used up any sway he might have had with the American people.
Trump isn’t even trying to sell the American people on his policies. It is like he is living in a different universe, but he regularly crosses over to our world to make things worse for every non-rich person, and then he goes back to his right-wing bubble, and then plays some golf on the taxpayers’ dime.
The whole thing is very odd, and it makes the situation more surreal that the mainstream media, for the most part, refuses to say that Trump is failing. They continue to chase the shiny objects that he puts out there daily, and never seem to stop to comprehend that most of the country really doesn’t like this guy.
Trump already feels like a lame duck. Donald Trump’s presidency is like being stuck at a bad dinner that won’t end while the restaurant is on fire around you.
Donald Trump has proven to be great at one thing. He is the biggest presidential failure in the history of the United States.

I finally broke down and have been sending texts to my brother in Indiana (he's a trumper). Instead of sending my own thoughts and opinions of Trump, I have simply sent him the headlines of outlets I know he will believe : Yahoo Finance, WSJ, etc. (and nothing from WAPO or NYT). I finally got a response from him today. It reads simply : "I hear you!!" Progress, not perfection.
He has no equal when it comes to being an abysmal failure at everything he does and he destroys everything he touches!
