Trump Wanted Chaos, But Instead, He Got Crickets

As the great Neil Young sang, “It’s better to burn out than to fade away.”

One of the interesting subplots that we are seeing fully realized is that Donald Trump has refused to go away, and the co-dependent Republican Party keeps letting him stay. However, there is an inertia to American politics that can only be denied for so long. As is the case with time, political inertia always wins in the end.

Over the last day or so, Donald Trump has gotten increasingly upset by the lack of fan support for him at the Manhattan courthouse.

Before court started on Tuesday, Trump said, “What’s going on is a disgrace. And that’s interesting outside for great American people who want to come down, and they want to protest at the court, and they want to protest peacefully. We have more police presence here than anyone’s ever seen but blocks. You can’t get near this door and yet you have nobody up at college. We have very radical people wanting to rip the colleges down the universities down.”

With still no crowd of adoring fans to greet him as he left court, Trump took to Truth Social and blamed the police for keeping his fans out, “Thousands of people were turned away from the Courthouse in Lower Manhattan by steel stanchions and police, literally blocks from the tiny side door from where I enter and leave. It is an armed camp to keep people away.”

Things hit a low point today as Trump’s maximum supporter count outside the courthouse topped out at one.

Donald Trump keeps telling anyone who will listen about how beloved he is, and how strong his support is, but the truth was outside of the Manhattan courthouse.

The media spends a lot of time feeding into the Trump mythology and normalizing the ex-president, but as we will discuss below, the reality was obvious even to them.
