Hope Right beats Might

I agree with you analysis, but I need to point out a flaw in the article. The first graph shows 36% approval of the protests and 45% disapproval. That suggests 45% approval of Trump's policy not the 36% you put below the graph. This is still less than majority support and therefor quite bad for trump.

I grabbed the wrong chart there. I have edited it with the correct information.--Jason

I noticed that too

Please notice as well the correct chart and analysis now in the post. :) ---Jason

Actually the post is the same. The points made above are still valid.

I came here to point out the same thing. Only 36% of respondents agree with Angelenos protesting. That really surprises me.

I grabbed the wrong chart from the poll. I have updated it with the one that should have been there.--Jason

I hope Trump loses every battle until he gives up his desires to be a self appointed dictator. He us dangerous and nothing more than a self righteous asshole!

That will never happen. He’s been harping about a stolen election for four years. Gives you some sort of insight into his sick brain.

He’ll never give up … even when he is behind bars where he belongs .

The cruelty we are witnessing is stoked by Stephen Miller and Tom Homan. They get their jollies from punishing people. Remember that it was Stephen Miller in Trump's first foray into the presidency who put children in cages and ripped them away from their parents. And, yet, we get all bent out of shape over Russia GIVING Ukrainian children to Russian families???

Miller and his wife are both part of Trump's Reign of Terror.

Unfortunately, I don't see how he has lost. He keeps doubling down and authorizing more military power.

Can someone help me see the other side?

The best outcome of this debacle is if the protesters remain calm and continue to protest. If nothing happens it’ll be a huge embarrassment for Trump. Of course in his twisted little raisin brain he’ll try to say he saved the day that no one was violent because he sent troops. But to people with a brain he’ll be the fool.

Unfortunately, people without brains outnumber us.

Susan Gorman Gerke's avatar

I really hope not but you may be right.

May he continue to lose. May Saturday’s protests be many and large.

Sad to say this tone deafness is why the public in poll after poll doesn’t like Trump but dislikes the Dems even more. Do the Dems not get it yet? The visuals alone; burning cars, police trapped under bridges to avoid concrete baseballs, foreign flags waving behind the smoke. A GOP campaign managers dream.

This is a political party on suicide watch unless they wake up, change the message and bring in new messengers. The only strategy they have is 10 years old now, Trump bad, bad, scary man. If they are waiting for him to implode they may have a long wait. At this point, in 2028 they will be going against a younger, smarter more appealing version, old Baby Blues Eyes himself. If there is a Democratic Party.

Who are these people who "aren't sure" if they support authoritarian, Nazi behavior? Who can't decide whether or not it's a good idea to separate families, disappear parents, traumatize children? Are unsure if shooting journalists with "non-lethal" weapons is a good thing?

Trump could fuck up a wet dream. There never was a "battle of LA." 98% of residents never go to DTLA; the closest they get is driving past it on the 110 and 10 and 101 freeways, on their way to a more important destination. The whole thing is limited to a square mile of the place nobody goes to. If you live in the rest of LA and don't pay attention to the news, you would never know anything was going on.

I like the story, but your narrative about the first graph is confused. On the question asks whether respondents approved of the demonstrations and only 36 percent indicated their approval.

I corrected it with the right chart.---Jason

It’s like you said in the video, if FDJT actually invokes martial law, that will get people off the fence and actually voting. He’s a cowardly bully who backs down when people stand up and push back at him.

The media has to do a much better job of standing up against 💩King’s pernicious lying.

The Fox watching MAGATs won’t give a crap but the misinformed middle could be awoken from their fever dreams by proving every word out of his mouth is a lie.
