Trump has always given off the vibe of badly wanting to be in the club. One of the reasons it has been speculated that the tech billionaires have found Trump so easy to manipulate is because he so badly wants to be among them, at least according to those who know the president-elect.
One of the places that has always been frosty toward Trump is the ex-presidents club. While it is tradition and it seems one of the main functions of ex-presidents is to sit in the audience for presidential inaugurations, the current living ex-presidents will be doing only that and skipping the socialization with Trump.
