Canada was minding its own business when Donald Trump decided, for reasons that have never been made clear, to start a trade war with our neighbors to the North.
After Trump began the trade war, Canada retaliated, and we have been going back and forth, as the US economy has taken body blow after body blow while Canada finds other trade partners.

Because there is no such thing as too much losing for Donald Trump, the president was asked by reporters about his trade war with Canada, and he said:
Well, they wanna have a deal with us. They call us all the time. The problem is that they've treated the United States very unfairly. They have been one of the worst countries in the entire world. You know, we get along with China, we get along with the people, and we make good deals, but Canada's been really very difficult to deal with actually.
They've, they've charged our farmers 400% tariffs and more, and they, uh, they take advantage of us. They feel entitled And, you know, they get ninety-five percent. Ninety-five percent of the business they do, they do with the United States. With us, it's a tiny fraction of that number. It's not a big number at all. And yet, uh, you know, we give them military, we give them, uh, icebreakers. They want icebreakers. We work with them. We buy icebreakers. We, we have a lot of... We have eleven of them right now under construction, and they wanna know if they can use our icebreakers. So many things. And they feel entitled and, you know, they're not a state.
There's nothing they have that we need. We have more energy than they have. We have all the lumber you could possibly use. We have everything we have we don't need, and they have to treat our country with respect. They've been very, very bad to our farmers in particular.
Trump wasn’t done. When asked how he thought all of this would play out, the president said, “ I think what's gonna happen is over the next three or four weeks, they're gonna come to us, and they're gonna say, "We're gonna get rid of all the tariffs. We're gonna win everything. We even have Lake Ontario is now Lake America." And that's been done, by the way. That, that actually just got done. They told me it was just completed. But, they're gonna come in, and they're gonna say, "Sir, we are sorry." They've treated the United States very, very badly. I think a deal will be made, but it's gotta be a fair deal.”

Donald Trump expects Canada to apologize to him for the trade war that he started and lost.
Something tells me that the president is going to be waiting for a very long time for that apology.

And still waiting for Mexico to pay for wall.🤣🤣😂😂😅😂😂🤣
If anyone is owed an apology, it’s the Canadians. They have always been reliable partners until Trump came back into the presidency. Elections have consequences and Americans should take the right to vote more seriously in future elections.
