“You know what DOGE is, DOGE is the monster that has that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn’t that be terrible,” — The President of the United States.

The Trump v Musk fight continues, and this petty Mean Girls fight is exactly why the media loves Trump so much.
Normally, we avoid covering Trump’s dramas for precisely that reason but in this case, it’s worth discussing because it shows just how wrong the media was to back Donald Trump and how disingenuous their attacks on Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities really were and are.
Trump speaking to the conservative content creators he’s labeled “White House Press Corps” and the few mainstream reporters left is asked if he will deport Elon Musk after Musk threatened to primary any Republican who votes for Trump’s very hated Big Beautiful Bill:
“I don't know. We might have to put DOGE. You know what DOGE is, DOGE is the monster that has that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn’t that be terrible.”
“He gets a lot of subsidies. Peter, but Elon is very upset that the EV mandate is going to be terminated. And you know what? When you look at it, who wants? Not everybody wants an electric car.”
“I don't want an electric car. I want to have maybe gasoline, maybe electric, maybe a hybrid, maybe someday a hydrogen. If you have a hydrogen car, it has one problem, it blows up, you know, going to give that one to Peter, to let Peter.”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the man about whom the media has not written a book about his cognitive problems. The man who doesn’t understand what is in his own bill or was in the bill and or EO (does he know the difference?) he is criticizing.
The man who says he’s going to let a sort of government department that he created without the approval of the Senate and then allowed Elon Musk to use that department to violate Americans’ privacy and attack federal employees and our national security EAT Elon Musk.
That is the man the media thinks is better equipped to run the most powerful country on Earth.
Trump Is Blaming Elon for DOGE
Implied in his morning “press” availability is that Elon Musk is responsible for DOGE, which Trump labels a “monster.”
DOGE is very unpopular, so naturally Trump — who gave Elon Musk the keys to the kingdom in return for Musk helping him win the election in all kinds of underhanded ways including “lottery” tickets — is slyly suggesting DOGE was all Elon.
Elon never wondered why Trump was letting him be the face of DOGE, the one carrying the chainsaw on stage. Maybe Musk realized he’d been used once Tesla showrooms became the focus of protests, but maybe he didn’t.
Musk doesn’t seem like someone who is good at reading the room. And now the President wants to put a monster on him. Oh, no.
Trump Doesn’t Understand Biden’s Policies
Imagine a man with the mental and emotional capacity of a a two-year-old who is really competitive with their sibling, like pathologically competitive. And say that sibling had really popular legislative goal with three Bs in it, as in Build Back Better.
Now imagine that legislation had a “mandate” for Electric Vehicles.
That two-year-old would hate that mandate just because. That two-year-old might even make their own bill three Bs and get rid of that mandate out of spite, not even bothering to read it to see if it were any good or what it actually does.
See, President Joe Biden’s BBB did not actually mandate that everyone drive an electric vehicle. That was just more fear-mongering and bad-faith attacking from the right, from which there is very little intellectual honesty these days.
The Build Back Better (BBB) legislation did not actually include specific mandates for EVs, rather it used this thing called incentives to get the outcome Biden desired, that is, tax credits and other financial incentives to encourage EV purchases.
That is the opposite of forcing people to buy an EV, but hey. Consent and permission are not Trump’s fortes.
Biden did sign an executive order that sought to achieve 50% of all new passenger cars and light trucks sold in 2030 be zero-emission vehicles. In March 2024, after honoring the traditional rule time (something Trump doesn’t bother with when the mood strikes him), the EPA finalized the rule, which then sought a reduced target of 30% by 2032. And this 30% was not just EVs, but included hybrids, too.
Thirty percent is not “everyone.”
Biden was focused on encouraging EVs and hybrids to reduce our dependence on oil not only for climate reasons, but also for national security reasons.
So Trump saying he might want a hybrid reveals once again that he doesn’t even know the basic coloring lines of what he is talking about.
Trump is ignorant. He’s wily and he’s clever, but he is not an intelligent human being. He lacks curiosity and he has yet to figure out that the conspiracies he believes in and keeps getting busted for not having ever happened after he claims they did might suggest that he needs to…
… do a basic Google search before falling for memes posted on Facebook.
The media is fine with the president being this gullible and this much of a conspiracy minded simpleton thug.
Naturally, the Trump administration hates EVs even though Trump used the White House lawn to sell Teslas as they were getting bad press for exploding and catching fire and killing some people who were trapped in them — oh, and because the Tesla owner did a Nazi salute twice and then ransacked and looted the United States government and all of our personal data, with Trump’s permission and probably his urging.
So Trump is going to let DOGE “eat” Elon Musk. He says this to the press and the press is like, YEAH! This is leadership! This is the moral example we want for America. We want our children learning from this man. If someone says something you don’t like, tell the press you’re going to eat them. It’s perfectly normal.
Trump v Elon Mean Girl summer has just begun, and the media, which has just found out that Trump is not the traffic generator cash cow they banked upon, is clapping their hands in glee. This public mud wrestling is their idea of good governance. It’s what they think is the very best idea for our country and for you.
Five-year-old Musk said he’d start his own political party and primary anyone who voted to end his entitlements, and so two-year-old Trump cried, ‘The monster is gonna eat you!’
This happened just weeks after Jake Tapper wrote a book about Joe Biden’s supposed cognitive problems — which turned out to be cancer — being the secret of this era.

Deplorable, and embarrassing. The rest of the world must think America has gone off the deep end......some of us, citizens and those in Congress are fighting to keep the ship floating... And then every day Trump shoots off another tantrum, lie, or inhumane act ......lesson to learn...money is power if you use it to the greater evil .
Love it! Mean girl fight, or in this case infantile psychos! Hope they both bring each other down !
