Trump Doesn't Want To Talk About Charlie Kirk Anymore After Blaming Democrats Backfires

Trump was asked about Charlie Kirk and immediately changed the subject, as if he is no longer interested because the shooter isn't a Democrat.

Remember how Donald Trump, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), and others in Trump’s party claimed that a liberal assassin shot Charlie Kirk?

It turns out that the accused shooter is a 22-year-old white Mormon male who comes from a family with two Republican parents. His father is a former sheriff. His parents introduced him to guns at an early age. The alleged shooter is also an unaffiliated voter in Utah.

Here is the family voter registration info in Utah:

In other words, this person fits the profile of most people who carry out acts of gun violence. He isn’t a Democrat, or antifa, or the “radical left.”

Since the shooter doesn’t fit the profile of what Trump described and the narrative that he is trying to spread about Democrats being responsible for crime, the president seems to have lost all interest in Charlie Kirk.

Trump was asked by reporters at the White House, “How are you holding up over the last three and a half days?”

The president said:

I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks, they've just started construction of the new for the White House, which is. Something they've been trying to get, as you know, for about 50 years. And it's gonna be a beauty, it'll be an absolutely magnificent, and I just see all the trucks we just started, so it'll get done, very nicely and it'll be one of the best anywhere in the world.

The only way that Trump could have made this worse is if he had said, “Charlie who?”
