File this under: Everything Trump accuses others of doing, he is doing himself.

Donald Trump has a decade plus record of election interference helping him win, from Russia’s help to his party purging voters to unexplained bomb threat hoaxes called in to Democratic heavy polling places originating from Russian IPs.

Now it’s come out that early in his second term, his DHS ordered CISA staffers to not only secretly acquire and hack a voting machine, but not tell the company of flaws.

Trump officials not only demanded that career staffers at Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) secretly acquire and hack a voting machine, according to new reporting by ProPublica, but also, they were directed NOT to inform the voting machine company if they found flaws, which raised their fear about the request being political interference:

(T)he agency had been directed not to alert the voting machine company if it uncovered flaws, making employees fear they were being asked to take part in political interference.

Ironically, this task was impossible according to employees, in part because those capable of such a mission had been laid off by Elon Musk’s DOGE.

“Though the DHS officials’ request was ultimately not acted upon, the saga shows the extent of how the administration has tried to use the agency for its own ends,” ProPublica reported.

CISA is also reportedly not helping several state election authorities, and it has offered no explanation for this attack on election security.

“Some state officials even told ProPublica they fear that what is left of the agency has been compromised by a conspiracy-obsessed presidential administration.”

This kind of election interference isn’t new for Donald Trump.

The White House responded to ProPublica claiming, “President Trump has done more than any other President to ensure we have free and fair elections.”

He has done the opposite.
