Trump’s Treasonous Comments
Trump’s comments about standing aside and allowing Russia to attack NATO allies drew plenty of scorn and criticism, but it was Gen. Wesley Clark, the former Alliance Supreme Commander of NATO who put Trump’s threat into proper context.
Clark told CNN:
You can't put enough adjectives on this to describe how treasonous such a comment is. How unfeeling, how insensitive to the fears of Europeans, many of whom have lived under Russian oppression. They know exactly what it is. They're much closer to the problem in Ukraine than Donald Trump has ever been. And they know what's going on there.
