Trump Can't Get Out Of Paying New York Nearly $500 Million

This holiday season, non-Trump-supporting Americans may find it hard to find much to be grateful for. The ex-president will be returning to the White House and is already spreading his brand of fear and malevolent chaos.
However, this is some good news. Trump may have evaded justice at the federal level, but the state of New York is continuing to hold him accountable.
Recently, Trump tried to get the $486 million fraud case against him withdrawn. Even though state Attorney General Letitia James has already won a fraud judgment against Trump, the president-elect wants the case dropped in the name of national unity.
James’s office responded by basically telling Trump no way:
