Donald Trump keeps trying to fulfill his campaign promises, except the one to lower inflation and prices with executive action. The problem is that Trump doesn’t care about governing, has no idea how to do it, and has always been destructive and terrible due to his general incompetence.
Trump has been trying to blow through his campaign promises with executive actions because the idea that Republicans in the House are capable of passing serious legislation grows more unfathomable by the hour.
The President has also decided to engage in a cold war with the most vital state to the national economy, which is also the fifth largest economy in the world. Of course, we are talking about California.
Trump has gotten it into his head that the California wildfires have caused a water shortage for farmers in the conservative central part of the state. This is not true, but the president recently posted on Truth Social that he a picture of flowing water, which he wrote above, “Photo of beautiful water flow that I just opened in California. Today, 1.6 billion gallons and, in 3 days, it will be 5.2 billion gallons. Everybody should be happy about this long fought Victory! I only wish they listened to me six years ago – There would have been no fire!”
The real story of what happened was some of Elon Musk’s DOGE crew went to California, and the next thing local officials knew, the Army Corps of Engineers was about to open two reservoirs while giving locals last-minute notice as they were complying with a Trump executive order to “release the water.”
What came next was a nearly fatal catastrophe in California, as Donald Trump was about to flood farms and towns.
