Trump Administration Escalates Threats in Face of Epic Loss and Humiliation
Trump has been embarrassed on the world stage yet again as ships got around his blockade, so now Hegseth and Bessent are escalating the threats, claiming the US is 'locked and loaded.'
The Trump regime is escalating its threats after its war of aggression backfired.
The US is “locked and loaded” for critical infrastructure strikes, Pete Hegseth threatened Wednesday after ships got around the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, making it very clear the Trump cabinet is full of weak and ignorantly incompetent men who see themselves as Clint Eastwood in a western, but are actually self-aggrandizing, delusional fools.
To wit: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned on Wednesday that the US will pivot to an economic war on Iran with secondary sanctions on financial institutions that do business with Tehran, calling it the “financial equivalent” of the bombing campaign. The AP pointed out that this “represents an escalation of sanctions that the U.S. is already employing.”
It’s true that economic leverage has become a go to way for “rival governments “ to “exploit financial or economic leverage over their adversaries.” The enforcement, intensity, and focus of sanctions change based on administration policies and geopolitical events, but we were already engaged in a form of economic leverage via sanctions.
Thus, the Trump regime could have started by escalating sanctions instead of an old-fashioned war that has killed thousands of people, as other presidents with competent cabinets have chosen to do.
Humiliation on the Global Stage
From getting into a fight with the Pope to portraying himself as an AI Jesus in front of the entire world to being portrayed as Israeli PM Netanyahu’s puppet, US President Donald Trump has been embarrassed on the world stage yet again.
Trump claimed China would give him a “big, fat hug” over “opening” the Strait of Hormuz, but Beijing condemned the move as “dangerous and irresponsible”.
China has reacted to Trump’s bully moves by going around the US, holding diplomatic meetings with other countries, “positioning itself as a stable and responsible nation” in a contrast to the chaos of the US under Donald Trump.
China is positioning itself to seize the global power the US has held for decades. Previous US presidents have handled China with great delicacy due to the economic cards they hold over the US, but Trump is too unsophisticated and crude to grasp the usefulness of soft power.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said this at Tuesday’s Chinese Foreign Ministry’s daily press conference even though a sanctioned Chinese vessel was able to navigate around the US blockade.
Jiakun also denied sending weapons to Iran during that conference, calling the accusation “completely fabricated.”
However, China has traditionally supplied components and dual-use technology to Iran and US officials indicated that China was considering delivering advanced weapons, specifically air defense systems.
