Trudeau and Macron Mock Trump
Trudeau mocked Trump and unified his own country against the U.S. President as Macron told Trump not to be "weak" with Putin.

All the world sees Trump as a weakling. They aren’t afraid.
After the U.S. lost an international hockey championship to Canada on Thursday evening played in Boston, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mocked President Trump on Elon Musk’s social media platform:
“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game,” Trudeau wrote.
Guess who joined Trudeau in claiming the victory and pointing to their freedom? Canada’s far-right, anti-woke crusader Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party:
“The true North, strong, free and golden,” Poilievre wrote proudly.
This show of unity against the U.S. President came the far-right Trump’s press secretary gloated that he was looking forward to watching the game and “beating our soon-to-be 51st state, Canada.”
The New York Times pointed out that political tensions have been “spilling over into sports arenas for weeks; the U.S. national anthem was loudly booed at N.B.A. and N.H.L. games in Canada.”
And further, Trump’s “repeated digs” have had “a unifying effect in Canada, forging a rare consensus among the public and the political class despite the country going through one of its most divided political periods in recent history.”
The BBC wrote in January about the political ramifications of Trudeau announcing that he was resigning, noting that the Conservative Party were riding high with “a double-digit lead” in opinion polls and “Canada must have its next federal election by October, but it's likely a vote will be called before that.”
If there’s one thing Trump is good at, it’s unifying opposition against his particular form of “leadership.”
Macron to Trump: Don’t Be Weak
French President Emmanuel Macron said he plans to tell Trump that he could not "be weak" with Vladimir Putin during his upcoming visit on Monday.
“I'm going to tell him: 'You can't be weak with President Putin. That's not who you are, it's not your trademark, it's not in your interest,’” Macron said.
"I will tell him: 'If you let Ukraine be taken, Russia will not stop," he said.
"Not only will it be even stronger, it will continue to invest, but it will take over Ukraine and its army, which is one of the largest in Europe, with all our equipment, including American equipment'", he added, saying it would be a "huge strategic mistake."
Macron is trying to take up the mantle of global democracy left by former President Joe Biden, gathering together a European response to Trump’s pro-Russia policy, as we watch Trump bow before Putin on the world stage.
There can be nothing more humiliating than the French President having to try to use Trump’s ego in an attempt to bolster him to behave like the strongman he pretends to be. Trump is, in reality, Oz behind the curtain. Nothing but smoke and self-interest.
There isn’t an ounce of real courage in Trump.
