Top House Democrat Demolishes CBS's Pro-Republican Midterm Propaganda
Under new ownership, CBS has become a pro-Republican network, but Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) didn't put up with their midterm spin on Face The Nation.
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) is the fourth-highest-ranking House Democrat. Rep. Lieu is the Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus and the highest-ranking Asian-American in leadership history.
Since CBS was purchased by Trump’s allies, the Ellisons, the tone of the network’s news division has taken on a more pro-Republican appearance. Whether it is edited 60 Minutes interviews with Trump or townhalls with Erika Kirk, the network under Trump’s eye does not resemble the former home of Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, and Dan Rather, to name just three of the many legendary people who have worked for CBS News.
In this context, it was not surprising that Rep. Lieu had to face some absurd questions about the midterm election on Face The Nation.
Host Margaret Brennan asked Rep. Lieu, “So you still believe that Democrats can retake the House? What is your main message?”
Lieu said, “We will take the House.”
