Kevin McCarthy Gave Into The Far Right And Attached SNAP Cuts To His Debt Limit Plan

McCarthy’s day started with Politico reporting, “House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s new debt limit negotiating proposal set to be unveiled Monday morning will include broad moves to restrict food assistance for millions of low-income Americans. His GOP colleagues in the Senate aren’t optimistic any of those measures will survive.”

Speaker McCarthy wants to cut food assistance to millions of the neediest Americans by expanding the age range on work requirements.
