The Trump White House Is Melting Down Over Soaring Gas Prices

The Trump administration had to have known that its war with Iran would send gas prices through the roof, but just like with everything else, the administration had no plan, and they are melting down.

After a decade of Donald Trump in national political life, a clear pattern has emerged. Trump thinks everything will be easy. His loyalists around him echo how easy anything that he is considering will be. Trump does no long-term thinking and never stops to consider the consequences of his actions. Trump acts. The consequence that everyone else could see from miles away catches Trump by surprise. Trump has no plan for the consequences. Trump and those around him melt down.

That’s how poor governing works, or in this case, doesn’t work.

Almost everyone knew that a war with Iran would cause a huge increase in gas prices. It has been talked about by those who study Iran and the Middle East for decades.

What has happened in the United States and around the world with gas prices is not a surprise.

Trump, of course, has no plan to mitigate the rising gas prices. The Venezuelan oil is a useless product that belongs to the oil companies, not the American people.

Donald Trump has no clue how to stop the rise in gas prices, so he threatened Iran with what read like total destruction if they continued to apply pressure on the United States through gas prices.
