The Supreme Court's 14th Amendment ruling on the surface looks like a win for Trump, but it is really a win for his opponents.

Trump Didn’t Get Much Of A Win From The Supreme Court
The 9-0 decision putting Trump back on the primary ballot in three states was about legal technicalities, not any affirmative support for Trump’s argument. The court found that the processes that states were using to disqualify Trump were not correct, and that Congress would have to pass a law setting up a federal disqualification process and empowering the states to disqualify presidential candidates.
Trump will if he follows his usual pattern of behavior will use this ruling to claim that he has been exonerated, but it is important to remember that the only victory that Trump got out of this ruling was that he is allowed to appear on primary ballots.
Donald Trump did exactly what was expected by falsely claiming that the Supreme Court said that you can’t kick your political opponents off of the ballot.
Trump getting to stay on the ballot isn’t something bad for Democrats. It is a good development.
Trump tried to blow this ruling up into something epic, but it was really a blessing for Democrats.
The Democrats Get To Run Against The Candidate They Want
It is no big secret. Democrats want to run against Trump. Donald Trump is a great get out the vote tool for Democrats. Non-Trump voters have demonstrated that will show up in every election to defeat Trump and his chosen candidates.
