Election coverage in the United States has been in steady decline since the rise of for-profit news. However, the corporate media coverage of the 2024 election was a new low as the nation decided that Trump leading an insurrection and attempting to overthrow the government didn’t matter, as they falsely equated Trump’s lies with facts.

In the end, the national press got what they wanted.
