A Long Night Shines Light On A Big Problem
Monday night was long and unexpected, and I get the sense that everyone is a little tired. Instead of being the millionth person to provide their thoughts on the Georgia RICO indictment, I think it is important to shine a light on something that no one is talking about, and I promise I’ll try to keep it brief.
Donald Trump is the star attraction in the indictment. After all, he is the one who was running the racketeering enterprise that was attempting to illegally seize Joe Biden’s presidential term. Rudy Giuliani and other well-known faces from the Trump Crime Wave Stock Players have also made an appearance and been charged.
Of course, the media is talking about Trump, because never before has an ex-president been treated like a mob boss in the eyes of the law, but never before has an ex-president acted like a mob boss.
The point that is being overlooked is that there were a whole bunch of people indicted in Georgia besides Donald Trump. There were lawyers, people who worked in the White House, state Republicans, and local Republicans all indicted.
All of these people call themselves Republicans, yet they engaged in criminal conspiracy against the state of Georgia, and the United States of America.
The problem that the media is missing is that this is much more than a Trump story. As we will talk about below, this is a Republican Party story.
