As a male born during Truman's term, I grew up with the cultural diminution of women's agency, their sexualization, and economic oppression, all while elevating Moms and their daughters as sacred objects...until they matured into objects of desire. Socialism is a system in which everyone who is affected by a decision has an equal say/vote in what that decision will be. Health. Housing. Education. Working conditions - especially working conditions: wages/hours/production goals/safety. Those decisions will be made by those who provide the labor to transform materials as well as those who provide the money to purchase the materials and the space in which the transfomatio: the work! is perfomed. The money and the labor need each other. Money and labor are both capable of understanding that they need each other. Both are capable of learning to treat each other with empathy and respect for there mutual benefit - IMO
