Trump Claims Harris Crowds Are Fake And The Times And Post Ignore Him
Donald Trump has been on a mental health bender for the last few days, which has involved the usual lies and conspiracies but also something new. The Republican nominee for the presidency claimed that all of the Harris campaign’s large crowds at their events and rallies were AI-generated.
The Trump campaign followed this outburst with a new video that can’t help but come off as some sort of deranged 1980s action movie with the kind of script Stallone would have turned down.
There are reports that Trump’s advisors have been pleading with him for at least a moment or maybe a few months to try to be normal and focus on running a reality-based campaign against Kamala Harris, but Trump continues to spin further out of control with no end in sight.
One of the two major party candidates rejecting reality and believing that his opponent’s crowds aren’t real is a major crisis for democracy.
The nation’s biggest media outlets should be all over this. It should be the subject of front-page headlines, sounding the alarm bells about the crisis our country could be facing because Republicans chose to nominate this individual to be the next president.
Let’s check the front page of The New York Times.
Here are some political headlines:
Harris Says Trump Will Repeal Obamacare. Trump Now Claims He’ll Make It ‘Better.’’
Donald Trump Returned To X, And Will Be Interviewed Tonight By Elon Musk
Harris Should Take Divisions Over Gaza Seriously
There is one more headline about Harris-Walz and our political imaginations, but you get the idea.
Let’s check The Washington Post:
Kamala Harris honed her Senate identity as a Trump foil
Trump to be interviewed by Elon Musk on social media
The unbearable lightness of being Donald Trump
That’s it. Not a single mention of the fact that the Republican presidential nominee believes that his opponent’s crowds are AI-generated.
We’ll get into potentially why this decision was made below.
